I had fun studying again. The hard part was working during the studies, the courses themselves were doable.
My preference courses were marketing in practice (we had to make an entire marketing plan from scratch), digital marketing (we got to do research on how a chosen entrepreneur could do better online) and graphic design (InDesign).
The major Business Management, option marketing, will change completely my possibilities in the marketing field. Even though marketing is not only theory but also common sense, my previous experience as purchaser would not have opened much vacancies in marketing. Certainly, big companies such as Google, Proctor & Gamble of Coca Cola skip every applicant without much degree.
I do know a bachelor degree is rather small, a master student gets much more possibilities. But I’m sure that, the same for my purchaser’s function, I will be able to climb the ladder in time.
It’s great that Thomas More is the last step to the degree. I have to say the level of education in the CVO was below average. For me, only having the CVO graduate degree would not have given satisfaction. But I guess 3 years on the Thomas More level in combination with my job would have been much to bear.
Hi Michiel, good post! I am sure you will climb the ladder in no time!

Yes, digital marketing was indeed one of the most interesting courses! I was also really nice that we received our Google Advertising Certificate
