I truly understand the use of blogging to learn a better English. Most grammar and vocabulary should be mastered at our level and getting speed in producing English is one step further.
If I had to choose one lesser point: I like more freedom in choosing and handling the issues. If someone asks me to write about e.g. Donald Reagan, I will not have much to say. I’m not very interested in USA’s politics, and I’ve heard even in the USA there is not much interest for this former president.
The most fun I had blogging was me to be able to go around subject and just start writing about my preferences. I managed for example to write about Sepultura, a Metalband, in the blog about sequels. By doing some background check about this band for the blog I learned stuff I would never have search for.
If I was completely freely in choosing my own blog subjects, I would write
about live music shows. I’ve even contacted a reviewer from a free online
Belgian music site. The great advantage is not the writing, but the free
concert tickets you get offered.
This is typically for the music scene, I don’t think it works as a Fun Park reviewer
like Disney World.
Yes, also learned so much by writing this blogs. I really improved my vocabulary and my grammar!

Great how you brought in ‘Disney’ at the very end 😉 👍

Couldn’t agree more that the freedom to choose what to write about is important!
